Mr. Shantilal D. Patel died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his home in Ledgewood. He was 80.
Born in Gujarat, India, he came to the United States in 1988 settling in Succasunna. He had lived in Flanders before recently moving to Ledgewood.
Mr. Patel had worked as a file clerk at AIG Insurance in Parsippany for ten years, retiring in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ambaben in 2001.
Survivors include a son, Bipin S. Patel of Ledgewood; three daughters, Manjula Patel of Colorado, Sadhana Ghuntadaria of Succasunna, and Bina Patel of Texas; and seven grandchildren.
