Agnes M. Caruso (nee Conforti) died Saturday evening, May 9, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She had recently celebrated her 95th birthday.
A native and longtime resident of Newark, she had moved to Montville Township in 1993.
Mrs. Caruso had worked as a dietician in the executive dining room at Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark for 10 years, retiring in 1976.
A member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Montville, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel M. Caruso Sr. in 2003.
Survivors include her children, Daniel M. Caruso Jr and his wife Francine of Belleville, Teresa Marino and her husband Jerry of Pine Brook, and Michael R. Caruso, her caretaker with whom she lived in Montville; six grandchildren, Steven, Joanne and her husband Michael, Jeffrey, Gerald and his wife Geannine, Daniel and his wife Danielle, and Nicholas and his wife Danielle; and five great-grandchildren, Emily, Samantha, Michael, Olivia, and Joseph.
