Anna Marie Rizzitello (nee Kowalick) died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at her home in Hollywood, Florida. She was 83.
Born and raised in Scranton, PA., th oldest of 10 children, she had lived in Newark until moving to Whiting in 1995. She and her husband also maintained a home in Hollywood, Florida.
Mrs. Rizzitello had worked as a Home Parent at the Essex County Children's Shelter in Belleville and later worked as a nurse's aide.
She was a member of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church and and a choir member at the Church of the Little Flower both in Hollywood, Florida.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Salvatore Sr.; three sons, Sal Jr., Dario and his wife Amy, and Raymond and his wife Gloria; two sisters, Liz Vierheilig and Helen Mandy; a brother, Walter Kowalick; and six grandchildren.
