Mrs. Rhoda Witzel (nee Adelman) died Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2009 at Troy Hills Nursing Home in Parsippany following a long illness. She was 97.
Born in New York, NY, she had lived in Newark before coming to Parsippany in 1969.
Mrs. Witzel had owned a candy store innewark with her late husband before retiring over 40 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Witzel; and her daughter Roberta "Bobbie" Sporn.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Leslie and her husband Dave Daly of Newton, and Philip Sporn and his wife Lori of Randolph; a brother, Al "Whitey" Adelman of Arizona; and four great-grandchildren.
