Mr. Melvin Irwin died Friday, June 19, 2009 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. He was 84.
Born in Paterson, he lived in the Passaic area before moving to Lake Hiawatha 52 years ago.
Mel served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had retired as head custodian with the Parsippany-Troy Hills School System in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nettie and is survived by two daughters, Irene Bradt and Darlene Irwin; two brothers, Kenneth Smith and Benjamin Irwin; and two grandchildren, Timothy and Meegan Apgar.
