Philip Gabriele died Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2009 at Troy Hills Nursing Home in Parsippany following a brief illness. He was 81.
Born in West Orange, hea had lived in Orange before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany 45 years ago.
Mr. Gabriele had worked as a supervisor with Ceramic Magnetics in Fairfield for over 30 years before retiring 15 years ago.
He was a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany and American Legion Post 249.
He was preceded in death by his wife Madeline (LaPolla) and a brother, Jack.
Survivors include two sons, Philip G. Gabriele and his wife Nancy of Sacramento, CA., and Paul J. Gabriele and his wife Julia of Parsippany; two brothers, Joseph and Louis Gabriele; a sister, Angela Bufalo, and four grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Danielle, and Jenna.
