Donald R. Sloan passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, March 20, 2024 at his home in the Lake Intervale section of Parsippany. He was 73.

Born in Lakeland, FL, Don was raised in Groveland, FL., and had lived in Chicago, IL. for 12 years before coming to Parsippany-Troy Hills in 1992.

Mr. Sloan earned his Bachelor's Degree in systems engineering and his Master's Degree in computer science, both from the University of Florida.

He had worked as a computer engineer with various companies, most recently Genware Computer Systems of Wayne, NJ, retiring 10 years ago.

Preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Sloan and Eunice E. (nee Lee) Sloan, Donald is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Dorothy E. (nee Dauber) Sloan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, March 25, 2024, 1:00pm to 2:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 2:00pm in the Funeral Home. Private interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
