Obituary of Shruti M. Modi

Dr. Shruti Modi

25 July, 1959- 27 April, 2024

With a very heavy heart, we want to share the peaceful passing of the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in law, aunt and the heart of our home and family, Dr. Shruti Manoj Modi on April 27th, 2024. She was 64.

Born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Dr. Modi lived most of her life there before immigrating to the United States in 2021 and settling with her family in West Orange, NJ.

Dr. Modi earned her medical degree from the BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, India and was in practice as an anesthesiologist for many years. As a doctor, friend and family member, she has touched one and all with abundant love and kindness leaving a positive impact on the lives of many people.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dr. Manoj Modi; two beloved daughters, Mauli Pandya and her husband, Samip of West Orange, NJ and Shaili Oza and her husband, Meet of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada; and two cherished grandchildren, Tanusha and Aayush Pandya. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Chandravadan Dave, mother, Mrs. Neelakshi Dave and brother, Dr. Durdant C. Dave.

Our world is now incomplete without her love, hugs, warmth and smiles. Life is going to be incredibly difficult without her by our side but she will continue to live in our hearts. Her blessings and love will always be with us.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Puja Funeral Services on Monday afternoon, April 29, 2024 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Rosedale Crematory, 408 Orange Road, Montclair, NJ. Cremation will immediately follow.
